Transportation Driver

So, what does a Driver do for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) Senior Independence?

Our Drivers are responsible for providing efficient, and safe transportation services to individual clients and groups of residents. They also complete logs, time sheets, and other documentation accurately. Additionally, perform vehicle inspections as directed and reports repair or service needs to their supervisors.

In order to be considered for a Driver position with Senior Independence you will need to meet the following qualifications :

  • You must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • You must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.

Adult Day Services Coordinator

So, what does an Adult Day Services Coordinator do for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) Senior Independence?

Our Adult Day Services Coordinators are responsible for planning and coordinating all of the Adult Day Services activities, and they supervise the Adult Day Services staff. Additionally, seek out and secure new, revenue-generating opportunities.

In order to be considered for a Coordinator position with Senior Independence you will need to meet the following qualifications :

  • You must be a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Social Worker, hold a Baccalaureate degree/Associate degree in recreational therapy or related degree, or have successfully completed the nursing facility activity director certification course or have two (2) years experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience as Adult Day Services Coordinator preferred.
  • You will need a current CPR certification or you will need to complete a CPR certification within 90 days of your hire date.

Adult Day Services Aide

So, what does an Adult Day Services Aide do for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) Senior Independence?

Our Adult Day Services Aides are responsible for providing personal care to our clients. Personal care of clients includes bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, shampooing, shaving, skin care, nail care, foot care, toilet use, incontinence care, and dressing. Aides also help plan, direct, and encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts. Additionally they may assist in developing and maintaining bulletin boards, activity calendars, and daily orientation boards.

In order to be considered for an Aide position with Senior Independence you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  • You must have at least one year experience as a home health aide and completion of a formal training program designed to prepare the Home Health Aide, or
  • One year experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care or skilled nursing facility and completion of a formal STNA training and competency testing program.
  • You will need a current CPR certification or you will need to complete a CPR certification within 90 days of your hire date.
  • You must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

Certified Occupational Therapist

So, what does an Occupational Therapist do for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) Senior Independence?

Our Certified Occupational Therapists perform OT treatment and evaluations as prescribed by a physician. The role of the Occupational Therapist is to guide our clients in the use of therapeutic and self care activities to help increase their independence.

In order to be considered for an OT position with Senior Independence you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  • You must possess an unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio.
  • You must have, as a minimum, one (1) year experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist. We strongly prefer candidates with one year of prior experience in a Medicare-certified home health agency.
  • You will need to possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work as a team with professional and non-professional personnel staff.

Home Health Aide (HHA)

Our Home Health Aide's are responsible for providing personal care to our clients and documenting client status. Personal care of clients includes bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, shampooing, shaving, skin care, nail care, foot care, toilet use, incontinence care, and dressing. Our Home Health Aides may also plan, and prepare, or assist with nutritious meals and prescribed diets. They also assist clients to self-administer-medications. Additionally, they provide homemaking services.

In order to be considered for an HHA position with Senior Independence you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  • You must have at least one year experience as a home health aide and completion of a formal training program designed to prepare the Home Health Aide, or
  • One year experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care or skilled nursing facility and completion of a formal STNA training and competency testing program, or
  • One year experience as a Home Health Aide in a Medicare-certified home health agency.
  • You must be knowledgeable of home health aide practices and procedures.
  • You will need a current CPR certification or you will need to complete a CPR certification within 90 days of your hire date.
  • Must pass agency's written proficiency examination and skills test.
  • You must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.

Homemaker/Companion

The Homemaker / Companion is responsible for providing homemaking and/or companion services to our residents and clients. The homemaking services include such duties as bed making, light housework, laundering, preparing nutritious meals and clean up of kitchen areas. Additional duties include accompanying clients to medical appointments, and running errands.

They also provide companionship and socialization for our clients.

In order to be considered for a Homemaker/Companion position with Senior Independence you must meet the following qualifications:

  • You must have at least one year of experience as Homemaker/Companion for an older adult or family member.
  • Must pass agency's written proficiency examination and skills test.
  • You must be possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

The LPN's at Senior Independence work out in the community providing nursing care to our senior clients in their homes. They are responsible for implementing the physicians' plan of treatment, while giving ongoing care to our clients.

Meals in Motion Driver

Our Drivers are responsible for the delivery of home delivered meals and for the performance of tasks that support this program. They also need to accurately complete all required paperwork including route sheets, daily logs, etc. and submits them as directed by the Ancillary Services Coordinator .

  • You must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalency.
