Our Senior Independence office of Columbus received a touching thank you letter recently. The letter mentioned the excellent care and attention given by Addy, Gary, Justin, Leslie, Gayle and every aide that entered her home. Marie the client wrote " I could write a book about the excellent services provided by Senior Independence and it's caring attitude for all they serve." GREAT JOB to our entire staff in the Columbus office!
Joseph is a dependable, personable and dedicated employee. He always has a positive, cheerful attitude and our clients appreciate it. His "can do" attitude and his willingness to go the extra mile are why Joseph should be recognized as an AOPHA STAR.
Kadiatu displays all the best qualifications a caregiver could possess. Kadiatu's positive attitude shows through her beautiful smile and countenance. She demonstrates flexibility in her job performance and she easily adapts to any change in her patient care schedule.
Sue works full-time and is going to school for her masters degree. She goes above and beyond her duties to care for her clients. She will go out to any client day or night to take care of them. I would let her take care of any one of my family members.
Two of Youngstown's Senior Independence nurses were recognized as AOPHA Stars during a luncheon in their honor. Great Job Barb (left) and Sharalyn (right)! Barb is also 'Employee of the Month'.
Toni and Joelle won the "most original recipe". Joelle uses tofu in the recipe. It is low fat and very healthy. And of course, it had to be called "Down Home Care Good Chili"!!!! Joelle was very sick with the flu the day before the contest. Toni offered to make the chili, since Joelle was in no position to make the chili. Toni forgot the recipe when she got home, so she made it from memory. Not knowing what the exact ingredients of the spices were, Toni made an administrative decision and uniformly added 1 Tablespoon of all the spices. Toni came in the morning of the contest, saying I don't think anyone will eat the chili, because of the problem with measurement of spices. Much to all of our surprise, at 2:00 PM when the judges made their decision that Senior Independence won the "Most Original" prize. The picture is the shirts they won for entering the contest. They won a DVD player for a prize.
